Welcome and thank you for looking at the 2010 Ride for Sick Kids website

The 2010 ride will reach a fantastic fundraising milestone where by we will surpass One Million Dollars raised for Ronald McDonald House, Newcastle, Tamworth & the Forster Beach House. This fund raiser has certainly grown well beyond all our expectations supporting this worthwhile charity.

This years ride will be the longest and most challenging for the riders covering a total of 1015 km over the eight days. The 2010 ride route will depart from Narrabri on Saturday 28th August and finish at Ronald McDonald House Newcastle on Saturday 4th September.

I would personally like to thank all of the valuable sponsors, McDonalds Licensees, riders and the support crew for all of their help and support in keeping this ride an ongoing annual success. The children and families who need use Ronald McDonald House Newcastle & Tamworth now thanks to the "Ride for Sick Kids" have a home away from home that now includes many of the creature comforts from home.

There will be regular updates sent to all subscribers closer to the ride date however if you have not previously subscribed please fill in the form in the sidebar on the right hand side to subscribe for our updates.!

Day 1 - Newcastle - Narrabri

The day commenced bright and early, 6am at Hadley Cycles, Broadmeadow.
The riders keenly loaded the McKey truck with bikes, helmets and all manner of other micscellaneous items (p.g. blog). After a group photograph, it was time to hop into the bus and head to McDonald’s Hexham for a tasty breakfast.
