WHY AM I RIDING IN THE 2009 RFSK -
Apart from the challenge of completing the ride, I am taking on the ride to support Ronald McDonald House and the good work that they do in supporting families at a time of need, when sick children are hospitalised and immediate family members need to be accommodated close by. I have experienced the support of RMH first hand when my eldest daughter was very sick in 2007 and Ronald McDonald House in Melbourne provided accommodation for my family and for three months while we waited for my daughter to have a lung transplant. It made our experience a whole lot easier knowing that we had somewhere to stay and live close by the hospital.
